Having worked in Domiciliary Home Care for the last 25 years, in 2024 the opportunity arose where I was in the position to branch out on my own. Holywood Homecare was born out of a vision to ‘do more and do better’. We wanted to do more than just the core principles of Domiciliary Care; we wanted to give service users the tools to have a fulfilled life and purpose to get up in the morn.
After carefully researching what all, other services Domiciliary Care providers made available to their customers, and after compiling a list, Holywood Private Homecare, and Holywood Housekeepers were born.
Holywood Homecare care professionals are fully police checked and registered with NISCC. They are trained to the highest standard.
Holywood Private Homecare
Holywood Homecare can provide live-in care, and 24 hr care. Please contact us for future details.
Holywood Homecare provide respite sits anywhere from 1 hr to 12-hour shifts. We provide overnight sitting services to give families a good night’s sleep, or if the person lives alone, just the knowing that someone is there.
Holywood Homecare provide all Domiciliary Care services as well as taking their service users to all medical, dentist appointments if and when family, NOK, or representatives are unavailable.
In Feb 2025, as I was putting together my company, I was approached by Domicare, that were offering service users the opportunity of Hearing and Eye tests in their own home to enhance their quality of life. I believed that this was an ideal service for our service users.
Holywood Homecare take our service users out for coffee, for walks, to the cinema, to the garden centre, or simply stay at home with them, completing crafts, puzzles and board games, simply whatever the service users choose to do.
Trips to the National Trust properties around Northern Ireland, Museums, The Giants Causeway, or even the Zoo. Day trips to Newcastle, the butterfly house — the list is endless. Holywood Homecare simply believes that you are never too old.
Holywood Housekeeping
Holywood Housekeeping provides all housekeeping services. This includes cleaning, dusting, hoovering, laundry, bed changes and much more. We can provide homemade cooked meals, meal prep for the incoming week, we also provide a garden tidy up and yard work. We also provide a shopping service, or the service user can come with us — again, the choice is theirs.

Holywood Homecare's aim in the next 24 months is to have an office in every major town in Northern Ireland.

I have worked in the Care Sector for the last 12 years starting as a care worker and working my way up until I completed my Level 5 in Health and Social Care, and became the Care Manger for a large Homecare provider. Having worked alongside Lucy for the last twelve years, when the opportunity arose to take up the position as Care Manager for Holywood Homecare, I was delighted.
Giving person centred care to individuals in their own home, allowing them to have independence, freedom of choice is essential. We believe that Holywood Homecare is more than just Domiciliary Care, it is a new concept in Homecare for all people. We have developed a model all-inclusive of everything we think will enhance the lives of individuals in Northern Ireland.
