Sitting Service
At Holywood Homecare we can provide a “sitting service”. Essentially this is a type of respite care where a Care Professional provides supervision and companionship to an individual at home, allowing a regular caregiver to take a break. Our main goals with this service are to ensure the individuals safety and well-being and provide social interaction and allow the care giver some rest time.
Overnight Sitting Service
We can arrange for a Care Professional to stay overnight in an individual’s home to provide support and supervision assisting the individual to remain secure and safe in their own environment. The aim of this service is to provide extra help overnight to an individual who may require this due to anxiety, medical needs or to offer general reassurance. A “Waking” sitter stays awake and a “sleeping” sitter rests but is available if needed.

Lucy Baxter, Founder and CEO, Holywood Homecare
"Having worked in Domiciliary Home Care for the last 25 years, in 2024 the opportunity arose where I was in the position to branch out on my own. Holywood Homecare was born out of a vision to ‘do more and do better’. We wanted to do more than just the core principles of Domiciliary Care; we wanted to give service users the tools to have a fulfilled life and purpose to get up in the morn. After carefully researching what all, other services Domiciliary Care providers made available to their customers, and after compiling a list, Holywood Private Homecare, and Holywood House keepers were born."
